CHA

Hello all! I've just returned from CHA..well, actually this year I didn't have to go anywhere. It was here in PHOENIX!!!

What a fun time we had..

Friday: Took 3 classes
1. Sizzix Class We made a lot of cards, cute 3d basket, colored, (I learned how to use a Sizzix Machine) Of course we got a bunch of wonderful swag.

2. 3L Adhesives I was on a hunt for strong tape, so this class was perfect. I personally only use there product, but wanted to see if they had anything new. WOWZA the sway at this class was crazy! I will definitely have a lot of tape to test.

3. 3M Class Also a lot of fun. We made baby shower invitations using emojis. I wasn't really interested in baby showers, I was more interested in what products they had. This class also did a great swag bag, I will have lots of there product to try.

Saturday-Sunday and Monday

We walked and walked and walked! Meet a lot of wonderful people and learned a lot. LOTS of fun Make and Takes.

Saturday afternoon I took a Spectrum Noir Class. I was having trouble with blending, so I learned a lot in the class.

+lawnfawn  was one of our favorite booths. It was laid out nicely and the product, OMG can't get any cuter!

Unfortunately I can't recall the name of this company, but still wanted to show you. This woman made beautiful flowers using WASHI Paper! She ripped the shape instead of using scissors.

+sizzix  has the cutiest patterns! Exciting news...We purchased a Sizzix machine. My mom loved to be able to cut her fabric with this amazing machine. I can't wait to get the die's to make the cuties!

Excel Blade and Penblade

EXCEL and PENBLADE
for Rheumatoid Arthritis Crafter

This is an extremely overdue blog post. I wanted to compare the two blades, but couldn't figure out a fair way. Who can cut the most paper, the best cut, the longest lasting blade etc etc.

They both cut nice..they are blades after all. I had a preference going into this, but wanted to see if it continued. I decided to simply put both of them on my desk and see which one over a few weeks I favored more. I know, not very scientific..but.

EXCEL Blade
~Hany Hamman
Vice President

I met this wonderful company at CHA in California. I had such a nice time with them, what great guys.

This blue one from X-Acto was always my go to blade. As you can see the Excel one is a bit larger and the grip is, well more grippable. (is that a word) The blue one is slippery.

The little black blade..everyone needs a little black blade..WOWZA this is sharp and very pracic cut. It works like a pen, push down on the top and the blade comes out. There is a little button you press to retract the blade.

PENBLADE

I also met Penblade at CHA. What a group of super fun and sweet girls. They also won a few awards for this design! Way to go!!

They have 3 different blades: 10, 11 and 15, and are nicely color coded. On the website they will show you what each number blade is best for.

There is a lot I like about this product. The grip is nice, very easy to hold, love that the blade is retractable and it has a ruler on the end. These are VERY sharp, so be careful.

Both products are wonderful and carry a lot of great qualities. That being sad, me personally kept going toward the Little Black Blade. This one seemed to be my favorite. I felt like I always had the most control with this small blade.

Thanks so much to both companies for letting me try both.

Please remember - this is only my opinion.

Not just for Valentines Day!

I made a bunch of adorable Valentines for some friends...you are never to old to give Valentines! And chocolate..come on

Each of these can be found on either Lori Whitlock website or on Silhouette Design Store

Well they went nuts..or course. Who wouldn't over anything Lori Whitlock makes/designs. One of my friends goes to a Senior Center and thought they would love to make these. I made 100 of each of these for her.

What a great idea for the Senior Center! I'll have to do this again.

100 - you think wow that would take a long time..well not when you are rocking 2 Silhouette machines running at the same time! Oh ya. Can't tell you how much fun that is.

Helping Friends

I love when a friend comes to me with a project..my heart does a flip! FUN FUN FUN What do I get to make!

My bestie, who is a Rock Star Mary Kay chick..came to me with wanting a box. A BOX, come one lets make this BEE-utiful. She wanted to take these boxes to the local schools and raffle off product for teachers. WOW..the pressure is on. We live in a pretty small community, so there is no hidden' who made these boxes. They had to be Super Fantastic!

As you may suspect, I went a bit crazy chicken! I have this problem, I don't know when to stop!

Here are the boxes, of course all made with my Silhouette Cameo machine. There is a total of 6 of them. Did I say I love my Silhouette!

Happy Crafting!

By the way.. She loved the boxes!

Valentine..Can't stop making!

What do you do when you make a frame and don't know what to do with it??? You fill it with love of course.
I got these free wonderful valentines silhouettes from @Silhouetteschool, who got them from Cuttable Designs.

Of course I had to @make something with them. I started making a black shadow box..and all of a sudden my inner something went crazy..add this and add that. Love my @silhouette the possibilities are endless.

You really can't tell, but the two shadows are adhered to the from to the shadow box. The Hearts and Happy Valentines Day are inside the box. These awesome flowers (I just learned how to do these) are well so stinking cute.

Super Bowl...

My cute and wonderful Aunt was visiting this weekend. It's so fun showing off your +SilhouetteAmerica projects to something that isn't familiar with it. She went crazy over EVERYTHING! Come on that does make you feel pretty awesome!

She is having a little Super Bowl party and wanted a few decorations.
The Penalty Flag sign will be used on the outside of a bucket to hold napkins...yellow of course
The Footballs (3d) or for decoration.
The Footballs with names..she is going to string them onto the guest drinks.

Here are some pics

Today I am an AMAZING Crafter! Thanks Aunt Georgia.
