Make your own envelope

I really love making my own envelopes. It just looks so nice when the envelope matches the card.
I used the Envelope Punch Board by WeR Memory Keepers - Amazon.com, Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc.
Sorry ahead of time - darn computer, couldn't get these photos to rotate correctly)

Whatever size card you are making, just find it on the huge list of sizes. I had a 5x5 card. I cute a piece of yellow paper 8 1/4" x 8 1/4"
You will use the ruler on the left side of the teal button. Line up your paper at the score line of 4 1/8"

Gosh, this is so fun! Punch to teal button (don't really punch it) Press it.

Use the scoring tool to follow the line.

Turn your paper to the left

Line up your score line you just made with the teal guide.

Continue doing this all the way around.

The top part of the punch has another surprise. It will curve your edges for you!

Finish - now ready to fold

Fold all the pieces. WOW it looks like a custom envelope!

This part is a personal preference. I used very strong glue 450 for the 2 tabs on the left and right. For the top I used strong tape. If you are giving this as a gift, when they are ready to mail the card - just remove the tape and stick. I've also tried this glue ish stuff that dries and then you can lick it to activate it. I personally like the tape better.

Happy Card and Custom Envelop Making!
